I have photos to share and I have news that Benji (named after Benjamin Button) is out of hospital and looking for a home in Beijing :)

After a few weeks he's already looking so much healthier - well done Team Puppy Rescue! :)

Puppy Rescue Update

To all those who have been interested about the little one, my friend reports that he is recovering slowly but steadily. Doctors discovered poor liver function due to malnourishment ~ hopefully this will hopefully improve along with the skin problems.

I am aware that nurses have shaved off all his hair and now he resembles an alien rather than a hyena! I'm still waiting for photos to share.

Thanks to everyone who has taken part in the rescue effort. I am sure he will be very happy to know that he is cared for half the world away.

Operation Puppy Rescue

A close friend of mine is currently studying in Beijing and over the weekend she encountered a rather sick puppy. Having lived in China for a while, I must admit there is no RSPCA equivalent over there. My friend and her classmates decided to take the furless puppy to the vet where they found out it had been infected by a mite. She decided to keep the pup hospitalized for two full weeks and have the required tests and treatments performed on it. However, she is forking out for the treatment herself. So if you'd like to lend a hand, please let me know. Alternatively, U-Fhern.com will be partaking in this rescue operation ~ 50% of profits from this and next week's sales will be donated.
